College Roadmap Visual
2
● Yesterday you created three mid to long-term GPAs for college acceptance.
● You also considered barriers you may encounter along the way.
● Today you will begin your College Roadmap -- a visual representation of your goals and possible roadblocks.○ For mid-terms, you will present your College Roadmap to
the class.
#1: Ge through first semester of 9th
grade!
-Keep up with assignments
-Take notes depending on the
material in class
-Turn things in on time
-Try not to turn in late work
#2: Graduate from high school with good grades
(preferable a 4.0 GPA)-Similar to goal 1, turn all work in on time
-Take lots of notes in class and review them
regularly/revise them-Study ahead of time for any quizzes or tests or exams
-NEVER hold things off to the last moment, as this will
just cause greater problems
-Always take opportunities
#3: Get accepted into college with GOOD GRADES-By following the steps I have planned out for myself in the roadmap, I should (hopefully) be able to get accepted into a good college, and (hopefully) with a GPA of a 4.0
END GOAL(s): GET ACCEPTED
INTO COLLEGE AND ALSO
GRADUATE!
YOU CAN DO IT!
It can be difficult to
keep up with
assignments, which
is why it is
important to keep
an agenda that lists
all your work for
the week!
If falling behind on
assignments becomes a
constant issue, then
grades will surely
begin to drop, which
will sooner of later
mess up your GPA you
are trying to maintain!

I want to stay in MECHA because it’s a good way to stay connected with my community.
My goal is to take at least 3-4 AP classes in HIgh School
Another problem is not knowing what you want to be in life.
I would like to have only A’s and B’s all throughout High School.
Money will most likely be a problem when trying to go to college.
● Study for tests ● Take AP classes
on subjects I like ● Don’t
procrastinate
1. Try to be on honor roll
2. Try harder everyday

Goal 1: Maintain a 4.0 or better throughout all 4 high school years.
Barrier (orca whale): You get an F on a test and it brings your grade down to a C+
Goal 2: Earn certificates to help boost your reputation for college.
Barrier (cut off by bigger boat): Someone else earns the awards you worked hard for and you start to feel discouraged.
Goal 3: Participate in at least 2 or more extracurricular activities throughout all 4 years.
