Charlie Baxter First of all, Charlie is an old geezer, and as with many true legends, we know very little about his past. For us, the story begins in the early 1900’s. The first
ever mention of Charlie Baxter is a postcard from the Pegu Club in Burma, dated May 20th, 1910. It was addressed to his wife in England, but got lost
somehow and eventually ended up in a post card museum in Harlem, where we found it after a lot of research. One of our companions met Charlie in Indonesia about a decade after that postcard was sent. After sleeping in
back alleys, falling in and out of bars together and whatever trouble they got up to, our travelling companion somehow convinced Charlie that the grass was greener in Copenhagen. One day he fell down the stairs to our little bar, dehydrated, hungry and scruffed up. We helped him to a big bowl of Tequila
and to this day, he is still with us. Slightly tipsy, he fights off demons and bad spirits for your convenience, all day, every day. Salud!
LageritaIt’s a way for us to explain what The Barking Dog is about. A hybrid between a pint in a pub and a well made Margarita in a fine cocktail bar. It’s tequila and
beer. Simple, relaxed, dog and somewhat sophisticated.

Rum'N'Ting
One of the first drinks ever made at the Dog, and like good dogs do, they stay with us! Jaaaahmaica rum! LIIIME! GRAPEFRUUUIIT!
Negroni & Tonic
Imagine if a Gin Tonic and a Negroni had a baby. Not that hard right? But would it be a boy or a girl? Hmm... I really don’t know, I really don’t know.
Floridita Highball
You reach for your drink, not a Papa Doble this time, something longer, on ice, to keep you focused. The Old Man and the Sea, what a title.
Margarita Highball
The problem with Margaritas is that they are too damn tasty and go down too
quick! So we made it just as tasty and a bit longer, with just a tad less alcohol so we can drink more and stay happy for longer!
Highballs
Pre-DrinnerAs the name indicates, these are cocktails to be had before dinner.
They serve the purpose of cleansing the palate, and contain enough alcohol to put even the hungriest man in a good mood before eating.

Aviation
An American bartender in 1916 thought he could make a cocktail that would make his guest fly. Literally. We do not have to tell you that gin, lemon and
cherry liqueur did not make that happen. But it made a hell of a drink!
Wahaquiri(Wa-Ha-Ka-Ri)
A Daiquiri with Paranubes coming straight outta Oaxaca, Mexico. Balancing
the finest, purest of rums, with citrus and sugar. Jose Luis Carrera is above the clouds where the sounds are original Infinite skills create miracles, Warrior
spiritual, above the clouds, raining down, holding it down!
Titanic Negroni
Gins, vermouths and Campari matured in an uncontrolled, half-glass half-wood environment, with a taste so big it has to be served on an ice rock!
Dry Martini
Not shaken, Not stirred.

El Chapulin
We have over the years gathered a fine collection of very passionate e-mails regarding the description, or lack thereof, of our drinks. We are of course always open to constructive criticism: 40ml Derrumbes San Luis Potosi / 6.5ml Ancho
Verde / 20ml Lime / 10ml Rich Syrup / Sal de chapulin
Bienvenidos
Probably the best welcome one could have in a bar. Imagine a big warm hug from the friendliest face you can imagine, with limes for eyes, carrying two pots of
smoking hot coffee. With Mezcal on top!
Feels like the Hood
After a lot of hard work comes reward, and there is nothing quite like coming home after being gone. When home happens to be a dimly lit bar with a beautiful
scent, a bottle of La Venenosa raicilla on the table, Campari in the freezer and fresh lime on the chopping board it’s hard to feel like Berlin.
Bandido
Before we had serious criminals, we had bandits. A little more fun and harmless than the real criminals, but still able to knock the living shit out of you. This little
‘Smokey and the Bandit’ tribute is fueled with elixir from the alps, herbal wine from Torino and a drop of lemon for all things sour.
mezcal
Mexican 8-ball When in Mexico, every now and again we find ourselves in questionable
situations. You know the ones that are half fun, half life-threatening. This drink is a bit like that – a tequila, mezcal and absinthe kind of situation. It has ruined
a couple of relationships, made a couple of babies... needless to say it is the beginning of a great night!

Cocktails
Blackbird
Naming drinks is a funny old thing. Sitting here for a while, forcing a name to this drink that is an obvious take on the Paper Plane. The Blackbird was a pretty
sexy plane, a great record, a Beatles song and a very bitter cocktail.
WinehouseTo be quite Frank, Amy had both a blessing and a curse. She had amazing talent, as in, one of the greats of this century. This is our ode to her, a winey bittersweet love story, with Tequila as the spice of life in place of a multitude of other ‘substances’.
Fiona
Named after Shrek’s girlfriend this drink is fun, bubbly and full-bodied. Girlpower, Elderflower.
Penicillin Highball
This drink has all you require to cure what ails you. Headaches, bad break-ups, blues or even a fever some say. A classic Doctors’ prescription including Whisky,
ginger and honey.
Freeda
Legend has it that Nordic gods with golden hair came down from the north to Mexico on flying dragons and quickly became friendly with the Indians. They
got high on chocolate and the purest sugar cane spirits man had ever seen. Since none of us are gods we diluted the elixir with Nordic Tonic.
BananrepublikkenStraight outta the banana plantations of Xaymaca! Or Jamaica as the British
later named it, incapable of figuring out the correct pronunciation. An Old Fashioned, but bananas!
Toreador
Bullfigthers are said to be some of the toughest people alive. But we are not bullfighters. Not even close. The closest we’d ever get is sitting at the bar next
to the stadium, drinking Tequila Fortaleza and eating apricots while feeling sour about the whole situation.
New Whisky Sour
We got inspired by the US export tariff to rethink the whiskey sour a bit. Along the way we lost the ‘e’ in whisky and added Spanish bitters from Scotland as well
as wild elderflowers from the Italian alps. Think of a whisky sour that just got back from holidays, vegan, full of energy and straight up.
Batanga #2
Imagine yourself walking down a dusty road in the old town of Tequila. You step in to that one very special bar you always go to when you visit and order a
Batanga. Only that we can’t get hold of Mexican cola, so we made our own out of amaro, lemon and a hint of sugar.
