In Loving Memory Of
Wanda Lynn Dodds January 5, 1959 - October 5, 2019
♥ On Saturday, October 5th, 2019, Wanda Lynn Dodds,
mother, daughter and sister passed away suddenly at the age of
60 years.
Wanda will be forever remembered by her two children
Jordan (Stephanie) and Chet (Kelsey); Jordan and Chet’s father
Phil Hanratty; her 3 brothers Dwight (Ang), Dwayne (Liz), Scott
(Kristy); Auntie Wanda will be missed by Matt, Ashley, Kara,
Jesse, Justine, Tyson and Danica. Many extended family
members and friends are also sharing in our loss.
Wanda was predeceased by her father William (Bill) in
1993 and mother Rose in 2013.
Wanda was born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan on Monday,
January 5, 1959 where she lived until the age of 14, when Bill
and Rose moved to The Pas, Manitoba in 1973. Wanda attended
high school at Margaret Barbour Collegiate Institute graduating
in 1977. Shortly after graduation, Wanda started working for the
Town of The Pas as a clerk and continued working, developing
many friendships with her co-workers and developing her skills
until retirement this year as Assistant Director of Recreation.
Mom wore many hats; chauffeur, coach, mentor- helping
with her kids and their friends as they started their journey with
activities and sports. She volunteered countless hours at the
hockey rink, on the soccer field and the baseball diamonds.
Wanda herself was active with fastball, volleyball, basketball,
and her love of sports which she passed onto her children.
She raised horses and dogs and developed a love for
“stamping- it-up” that many family members and friends can
attest to as she convinced many that they needed to “stamp-it-
up”.
Mom will be truly missed and we are so appreciative of
all the love and support given to our family at this tough time.
