The Frontline Sale has evolved over the last few years as a source of
females that have proven their worth for their new owners. Isn’t that what
this is all about, making the cattle work for your customers? Selecting cattle
for the sale is always enjoyable as there are many good herds across the
land and the consignors to this sale are no different. Analyze the
consignors to the sale, there are years of breeding purebred Angus cattle
developing programs. The only way to stay around for a long time is by
putting a productive, profitable product out there each and every year.
On offer is a variety of genetics available from bred heifers to heifer
calves red and black. A great opportunity is before you to secure females
that are breed leading and as time has proven if you’re going to buy make
sure you buy the good ones, there is always room to buy a top end female.
Stop in Sunday afternoon to have a preview of the offering at
Johnstone’s. Sale day is Monday at 1 pm and we welcome you to be our
guest! Should you have any questions please feel free to contact the
consignors, sales staff or Devin, Mark or myself.
See you sale day!Shane Castle

Here is a heifer that is for sure to make a superb female. Her dam has been nothingbut exceptional for us. Ryan Pipke purchased a full brother at $13,500 which wekept an interest in and just weaned his first set of calves, calving ease with that extrabit of growth. A maternal sister to this heifer raised the top heifer calf this fall as wellwhile being one of the nicest cows on the ranch. The dam of 712E is 209Z and herbull calf is sure to be a highlight for the 2019 Bull Sale. You can buy with confidencehere. This heifer is very hard to let go of but we are excited for the future for her newowner.AI’d April 20 to Musgrave 316 Stunner. Exposed May 6th to June 1st to FRL Windy 2E. Favourable to AI.

A female that is Shane’s pick of the pen and very hard to part with. These Sitz Logicfemales are all deep-ribbed, long, broody females with great dispositions. Hergrandam is a Bando 9074 daughter, which were noted for being very productivefemales. An awesome job done by a first-calf heifer. Having HF Tiger in her pedigree, adds to this heifer’s maternal strengths. Once we realized she was safe in calf toSAV Final Answer 035, this made her that much harder to part with. We bought the Breakout sire for his all-out performance, but the quality of hisdaughters may be where he is really going to shine. Being an Alana female certainlyadds a lot here- 42Y is a never miss female. The service sire is a fancy son offColeman, one of our top heifer friendly herd sires ever. Cavalry should leave stylish, good footed calves, with super udders on his daughters.Bred to Red U6 Cavalry 28E on May 16th. Ultrasounded safe for Feb. 22nd due date.

When we decided to offer the first bred heifer we have sold in over 20 years wewanted to make sure she was not just another heifer. 21E is as good as any we haveraised. She is a big feminine broody power cow in the making. Her full sister 5C isworking in our cowherd raising an $8000 bull to Greg Oldhaver in our 2018 bull saleand weaning Scoof 1F, ourheaviest bull calf in October. The vet called 21E due early tomid February to Red LinesScoof 10D. He was our highestselling bull in 2017 to Flying Kat $19,500 for half interest; hiscalves are standouts at bothoutfits. We are confident that21E will be a top end cow forher new owners.

Rosa is an early January born, sweet fronted, powerful heifer that has caught our eyesince birth. To top it all off she is very quiet. Valentine sure passes lots of neckextension and smooth fronts to his calves. Rosa is off a very deep bodied MajorLeague dam who throws low birth weights and then watch them grow. Our 1st set ofValentine heifers have really proved themselves with beautiful udders, and lots ofmilk. They have raised some of our top calves in both our commercial and purebreddivision of our farm and they maintained their condition. Anyone who looked throughT-K’s Dispersal catalogue could easily pick out the beautiful Packer females. Theyare standouts and we feel she has the same potential. What a sweet heart of a heifer calf. Her mother has produced 2 sale bulls in a rowand now this doll. She is awesome minded and has tons of rib shape. This heiferwould make a nice junior project but most importantly will be a solid producing cowin the future.
