We chose Abdi to play the role of the villain because his physical appearance matched certain qualities which were needed for the role, e.g. His strong build and tall height. His role playing age also varied more elderly than the other actors, this allowed him to not only play the killer, but the also his other side as probation worker. As he was able to play an elderly probation worker and had the height and build for the killer, he fitted the needed conditions.

We chose Emily as the final girl for multiple different reasons. A main factor consisted of the fact she fit the final girl description vigorously, her brown hair and short height conveys her as quiet character. She clearly is displayed as the killers binary opposite as the two are nothing alike. Emily also showed us through her audition that she could portray a great sense of emotions when acting.

Lucy was chosen for the role of the first girl as she was shown to be very dedicating and skilled during her audition, this came to benefit us, as when it came to shooting she was completely comfortable on camera and was even willing to be dragged across the floor. We felt she was right for this role as she is seen as quite an attractive women, who when looked upon can be displayed within the male gaze. As the first girl is often shown with a sexual nature we believed Lucy would best fit this role.

We believed Mahmoud was most suitable to the role as he came across as a dominant, popular figure. Like the final girl the jock does also have a sexual nature, he is often displayed with ones idealistic characteristics; e.g. Ideal body, great with women and good sense of style. His audition allowed us to identify his acting skills which were very good, he showed us that not only he could play this role, but he could connect with this role as this character is much like him. We believed this was a very good reason to have him play this role, as he would do it very easily.

We chose Sebastian for the role as Male Benefactor because through his audition he displayed an excellent quality of acting which showed us he could portray not just this role, but many others. His role playing was also slightly higher than the other actors which allowed him to play a role aged between 17-21, a perfect age for trainee probation worker. He also fit the characteristics of a kind and caring person, which allowed him to play a kind and caring person without a problem.

Kiran was chosen for the role or female benefactor as she fits the characteristics kind, wholesome and friendly. She was not of a sexual nature and showed to us in auditions that she could display a sense of care when acting, proving to be right for the role. Also because she is of an Indian heritage we believed the incorporation of multiple ethnicities would allow our audience more of a chance to connect with some of the character, hence we felt having Kiran in our trailer would be overall beneficial.
