organic practices.
N. Pre-intervention Scenario
O. A total of 1 acre of land has been utilised for vegetable cultivation by Danai Gadaba out
of which she has grown five major types of crops in a compact patch ,such as brinjal, Beans,
Little gourd, Tamato and radish
P. Description of Intervention and process undertaken :
When the village was selected for MKSP programme her name was also selected as Mahila
kisan. She has been oriented and trained on organic practices and technological aspects of
SRI. under community investment support 3nos. of plastic containers, Plastic Basin, Spoon,
Mug, Liquid measuring Litre has been given to her.

S. Post- Intervention scenario/Outcomes Due to adoption of organic practices the
production level enhanced and the cost of purchasing manures and pesticides
minimized. So her annual income increased two times from the previous year.
T. Plan Ahead : Danai has now planned to cover more acres of land for paddy following

Training on formation and strengthening of Producer group
Training on Vegetable Cultivation
Adoption of Technical Protocol (what practices under the technical protocol
were planned and adopted)
SRI, Handi Khata, Jeevamrut
Seed Treatments,seeding,110 days(Transplanting)
Use of Mandwa weeder,10,20&,30 days of transplanting
Post- Intervention scenario/Outcomes (change in production, productivity,
income)
Organically Paddy produced
SWAD-14Q.
No of Tillering: 75 to 80 (pila)
No of panicle: 90
Paddy produced SWAD
Yield from 50 cent = 14 Qunital
Paddy (SWAD variety)
Value of Paddy (SWAD ) = 14
Quintal x @ Rs.1300/- per quintal
= Rs.18,200/-
Total Value of Rice = Rs.18,200/-
Profit per 50 Cent = Rs.18,200/- - Rs.6500/- = Rs.11,700/-
Change in Productivity = Productivity is 14 Qtl / 0. 5 acre, whereas she was getting
yield of 8-9 Qtl per 0.5 acre
Change in Production: Production has increased to 14 Qtl per 0.5 acre after
application of organic fertilizer
