Worth? I must say, yes!

Canon 12×36 is II has one of the largest objective lenses among the IS range of binoculars. It boasts of 36mm diameter multi-coated objective lenses that magnifies your image 12 times. It deliver a wide and extra-bright field of view. The lenses guarantee maximum light gathering and feature an eye-relief feature that is good for those wearing spectacles.

Q: What size and how many batteries are needed? How Long does the battery last?A: Never replaced batteries--had binos for two years. Do not know what size but binos very good for intended purpose.

Q: Which canon binoc are best for stargazing?A: I can't answer concerning other binoculars. The 12X36 binoculars are not good for stargazing. For that I would think you would need to look at telescopes. These Canon binoculars are good for looking at the moon, but not stars.

I just do not know what to say. I really checked this one out. A lot of money for Binoculars I thought. It better make a big difference. WOW. It DOES. You have to see it to believe it. The write ups are right. I am now saving for the bigger ones. VERY WORTH the price. And mine came with a 3 year canon warranty. Not the one year it says on Amazon.
