Becoming an Officer• A 4 year degree is required• Officer Candidate School (During

College)- 2 6 week sessions- 1 10 week session

• Must be selected and approved to go by Colonels, Majors, and other officers

• Officer Candidate Course - Post Graduation

Upon Completion of either route, you will be commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant

servicing a higher cause than yourself, serving a brother hood, when chaos and uncertainty arises The Marines are the first to lead the way.

• The Marines stick out because they train all men to be rifleman before an MOS.

Personal Interview – Elmore• Gunnery Sergeant Kevin Elmore• Marines 18 ½ year• Chose the Marines because

everything else seemed easy and he wanted a challenge to push himself to his limits

• “Being a Marine means He’s done his part to support this country for his family.”

• Plans to stay in the Marines until retirement, than pursue something else

• His best advice when picking a branch is to “Weigh the options”
