Buggles and Beezy Directions

Macintosh Installation

1. Make sure all Macintosh application are closed. Insert the CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive.

2. Double-click on the Buggles and Beezy CD-ROM to open the program. Select Setup OS9 or Setup OSX to begin the install.

3. Click Next to continue. A program location screen appears.4. Click Next to accept the default installation destination or click Browse and select

another location.5. When the installation is completed successfully, a message appears. Click to

move past the message.6. Before you start New Adventures with Buggles and Beezy you must restart your

computer.

Windows Installation

1. Make sure all Windows applications are closed. Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.

2. The install will launch automatically. If this does not occur, double click on you CD-ROM drive to begin.

3. Click Next to continue. A program location screen will appear.4. Click Next to accept the default installation location or click Browse and select

another location.5. When the installation is completed successfully, a message will appear. Click to

move past the message.6. Before you start New Adventures with Buggles and Beezy you must restart your

computer.

Opening the Teacher Utilities

Macintosh

1. Browse to the location where the application was installed. The default location is Application:Buggles and Beezy.

2. Double-click on the Teacher Utilities icon.3. From the main Teacher Utilities menu select Teacher Tools or Management

Tools. There is no default password for either set of tools until one is set by clicking on the Passwork button or in the Management Tools.

Windows

1. Go to the start menu and navigate to the location where the application was installed. The default location is Program Files/Buggles and Beezy.

2. Select the Teacher Utilities application.3. From the main Teacher Utilities menu select Teacher Tools or Management

Tools. There is no default password for either set of tools until one is set by clicking on the Password button or in the Management Tools.

The following screen will appear:

1. Select Management Tools2. A new screen will appear. Choose Teacher.3. Click the Add button next to the Teacher list on the Teachers & Classes screen.

The Add Teacher window will appear.4. Click the dropdown arrow in the Title field to select a title. If you don’t select a

title, the teacher name will appear without one.5. Type a first name and a last name in the appropriate fields. If you want to add a

password for the teacher, type it in the Password field.6. Click Ok. A Class for the teacher will be created automatically.7. Click Back at the bottom of the screen.8. Choose Classes.9. From the Teacher list, select the teacher to whom you want to add a class.10. Click the ADD button next to the Class list. The Add Class screen appears.11. Click the options you want. Then Click OK. Continue to add student names.

Click done when finished.12. Click Back13. Click Students

14. Choose appropriate teacher name and class15. Click Add and fill in student information16. Click OK and continue to add student names17. Click Done when all names are complete18. Click Back19. Click Logout

Selecting Assignments for Students

20. Click Teacher Tools.21. Select Teacher and press OK.

22. Select Assignment Wizard.23. Choose assignments for students to complete.24. Click Back when finished

When Students log onto Buggles and Beezy they will select their name and begin play.

Viewing Reports

1. From Teacher Utilities, choose Teacher Tools.2. Sign in the appropriate teacher.3. Click Reports.4. Choose the type of report to view/print.5. Click next.6. View/print report.
