Director Taika Waititi, who is of Polynesian-Jewish descent, brings his signature style of humour and pathos to an audacious coming of age tale set in Nazi Germany. A young, patriotic German boy has his world turned upside down in a crumbling war-torn Berlin and starts to question his own blind nationalism and racial beliefs. Rated M for mature themes, violence, coarse language and sex scenes.
This is a free screening for library members and is strictly limited to 40 people.
