• Risk Definition– What are the risks that you are most likely to face?

• Setting Expectations• Personnel Safety needs to be included in all

planning

• Setup the systems • Store critical information off-site • Prepare your facility • Document everything• Communicate broadly • TEST TEST TEST• Needs to be part of regular process - not just one

and done

• Challenge always becomes the timing • Track the changes you make • Make note of the issues as you go• Personnel safety is paramount

• What defines "back to normal" for your business?• Impacts of a disaster can linger• Need to decide when to put normal operations

back in place• Again - communication and expectation setting is

the key

• DR plans need to be dynamic• No possible way you'll get it right the 1st time

around• After each disaster (real or test), need to set aside

to capture thoughts and ideas as soon as possible• Update the plans accordingly
