THE BACKSTORY
One starry night, starts the love story between two young lovers: Ben and Christine.
In fact Ben declares his feelings by confessing her that these strong emotions had surpassed every adversity.
He compares these difficulties to some natural calamities.
He states that “when the night has come and the land is dark” and “ if the sky that we look upon should tumble and fall and the mountains should crumble to the sea”, he won’t cry and he won’t be afraid because Christine will stand by him for ever.
For this reason the song is called “Stand By Me”.
Stand By MeStand By Me
When the night has comeAnd the land is dark
And the moon is the only light we'll see
No I won't be afraidOh, I won't be afraid
Just as long as you stand, stand by me
When the night has comeAnd the land is dark
And the moon is the only light we'll see
No I won't be afraidOh, I won't be afraid
Just as long as you stand, stand by me
