Council (NAAC), Bengaluru.

Brief Report on the International workshop on NAAC Assessment and Accreditation
Process Organized by Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Sri Padmavathi Women’s Degree
& P.G. College, Tirupati in collaboration with National Assessment and Accreditation Council
(NAAC), Bengaluru on 28th October 2020. The aim of the workshop is to create awareness among
the participants about NAAC’s Revised Accreditation Framework which came into effect from
2020, with the help of advisors of NAAC, Bengaluru.
There was a very positive response to the International workshop as huge number of
participants registered from various parts of the country starting from Jammu & Kashmir to
Andaman & Nicobar and one participant each from Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. In this sense it has
become an International workshop, because if 2 participants are from other countries participate it
becomes an International programme. The total no. of Participants is 1031 members.
The International workshop began at 10.00 AM with a prayer by Mrs G. Neeraja, HOD of
English, SPW Degree & PG College, Tirupati. The introductory remarks was delivered by Dr. K.
Uma Rani, IQAC Co-ordinator, SPW Degree & PG College and the inaugural address was
delivered by Dr. R. Ramana Prasad, Devasthanams Educational Officer, TTD, Tirupati.
Dr.K.Mahadevamma, Principal, SPW Degree & PG College, Tirupati spoke about the context and
necessity of International Workshop.
The Keynote address was delivered by Dr. M. S. Shyamasundar, Senior Advisor, NAAC,
Bengaluru. He discussed the necessity of Accreditation process of NAAC. He also highlighted the
National Education Policies.
Dr. N. R. Mohan, Assistant Advisor, NAAC, Bengaluru spoke on RAF (Revised
Accreditation Framework). He also focused on vision and mission of NAAC. He explained how
to register and what are the eligibility criteria for NAC Accreditation.
Dr. A.V. Prasad, Assistant Advisor, NAAC, Bengaluru discussed the 2nd step in NAAC
process i.e. SSR Data verification & Validation process. He also highlighted the various sections
to be filled in online report.
Dr. D. K. Kamble, Assistant Advisor, NAAC, Bengaluru enlightened about Student
Satisfaction Survey (SSS), logistics & Peer team visit & AOD (Assessment outcome document)
etc.
The workshop session ended with intensive interaction with the participants and all the
queries were answered by Dr. A.V.Prasad. The vote of thanks was proposed by the Dr. K. Vasudha,
HOD of Electronics, SPW & PG College, Tirupati.
The workshop was very fruitful in the sense that every participant got clear idea regarding
the process of NAAC for the affiliated colleges. The Advisors from NAAC, Bengaluru delivered
the information very well and the message reached to the participants very clearly. We on the
behalf of the college, IQAC and on my own personal behalf extend our heartfelt gratitude to the
Advisors, NAAC, Bengaluru who spared their precious time to create awareness regarding the
NAAC accreditation in the affiliated colleges.
