W.H.O. has set up a tuberculosis research officeat Copenhagen to evaluate the results of the campaign, andhas arranged for re-testing on a large scale at varying intervalsafter vaccination. Extensive re-testing in Greece, Syria,Egypt, and India has already revealed significant geographicaldifferences in the results even where the same batch of vaccinewas used. Compared with the results among children inDenmark, the proportion of tuberculin reactors after B.c.G.vaccination has not everywhere been so high ; the reasonsfor such variations are not yet clear.
