Job Purpose
A Children's Services Educator is qualified and has gained a Certificate Ill (or Diploma) in Children's Services, at a minimum and will receive guidance and direction by the Room Coordinators and Managers.
This role will provide quality care, education and support to children attending AnglicareSA child care centres and maintaining a healthy and safe environment at all times.
Key Result Areas
Service Delivery • Assist in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs for
individual children or groups. • Record observations of individual children or groups for program planning purposes. • Under direction, work with individual children with additional needs. • Assist in the provision of direction to unqualified staff, students and volunteers. • Form relationships and appropriate interactions with children and families. • Step into the role of Certified Supervisor when required, as per the National Children's Services
Regulations. • Work with and plan for individual children with particular needs, in conjunction with internal and external
children's service agencies • Maintain responsibility for primary care of a group of children in the pre-school program, as directed by
the Room Coordinator/Centre Manager
Administration • Complete documentation in an accurate, professional and timely manner. • Report low supplies of materials. • Undertake duties as per the daily roster and routine, to best suit the needs of the centre, as well as any
other reasonable tasks assigned. • Maintain up to date documentation for the Early Years Learning Framework & National Quality
Frameworks, along with additional room and child information
Continuous Improvement • Actively participate and contribute to quality improvement programs and other program activities to meet
service and accreditation standards. • Participate and contribute to team processes (eg participation in team meetings/ training that may be
outside of centre opening hours) • Maintain up to date knowledge of all relevant regulations, internal & external policies and procedures
that relate to this position. • Adhere to centre or service's policies and procedures at all times. • Support the implementation of quality and risk systems to meet quality and accreditation standards. • Participate in organisation quality and risk management functions as required to meet quality and
accreditation standards.

Specific Job Requirements
You will be required to travel to other AnglicareSA sites on a regular basis. You will require a current driver's licence and a certified roadworthy vehicle that is registered and has a minimum third party property insurance. In return, you will receive a mileage reimbursement.
• You will require a current driver's licence. • You will have a mandatory requirement to report any suspicion of abuse or neglect of children or young
people to the Department of Education and Child Development (DECD), Child Abuse Report Line (CARL) as required by the South Australian Child Protection Legislation.
• A current Senior First Aid Certificate must be maintained.
