Sabine is proud to announce the birth ofa new family of professional digital signalprocessors. The GRAPHI-Q 3100Graphic Equalizer Series combines fourindispensable audio products into onevery affordable, all-digital package....withan easy to use hands-on interface!
With the touch of a fader you can shapeyour frequency response using the Graphi-Q’s31-band digital graphic EQ. Need morecontrol? Use the parametric EQ to controlyour filter width, depth and frequency.Time align your speakers with the digitaldelay. Manage your system gain with theGraphi-Q digital compressor/limiter.Finally, add 3 to 9 dB extra gain and auto-matic feedback control with Sabine’spatented FBX technology.
ConfigurationsThe Graphi-Q gives you instant hands-
on, front panel control for every function,or you can choose the blank front panelversions for the ulti-mate in systemsecurity and econo-my. RS-232 remotecomputer control, over 70 on-board pro-gram memories and remote switching viacontact closures are standard in allGraphi-Qs (slave or full front panel).
No other professional audio devicegives you this level of control, thissuperb quality, at this low price.
How do we do it? Our 24-bit A/D andD/A give the cleanest audio possible, andAnalog Devices’ new 32-bit floating-pointSHARC digital processor powers everyGraphi-Q, allowing simultaneous use ofthese essential functions:
• 31-band Digital Graphic EQ, with ± 6 or 12 dB range and High & Low Cut Filters
• Patented FBX Feedback Exterminator: 12 Filters; switchable to fully parametric; Automatic TURBO Setup Mode for FBX via GRQ Remote Software for Windows
• Full-featured digital Compressor/Limiter
• Digital Delay, with up to 1 second delay, adjustable in 20 microsecond increments

Graphi-Q Remote Control SoftwareGraphi-Q Remote for Windows gives you the same hands-on feel as the front
panel, and allows you to control up to eight Graphi-Qs simultaneously. All the majorfunctions you need arethere on the screen, ready for use. You rarelyneed to leave the mainscreen or pull down amenu to access the con-trol you need.
Several additional fea-tures are included in thesoftware, and, as in allGraphi-Q functions, theyall work concurrently. The Response Curvesection is very flexible.Display the curve for thegraphic EQ, high & lowcut, parametric, andFBX filters, for both the
A and B channels, all simultaneously or individually. Parametric Filter Controlallows you to switch any filter from fully-programmable parametric to Fixed orDynamic FBX filters. You also get one-button Automatic TURBO Setup Mode. Inthis mode the Graphi-Q automatically sets up the FBX filters – just sit back andwatch as the unit raises the gain, places all the FBX filters with feedback at asuper-quiet level, and displays the added gain you get, all in real time.
trol for every function, yet every func-tion is all digital. When you grab oneof the smooth EQ faders on theGraphi-Q, you are controlling a digitalequalizer, so you can be sure thatevery filter is precisely shaped withminimal phase shifting, no drifting, &extremely low noise and distortion.
When you use the Graphi-Q’s digitalcompressor, you get smooth control,a full, punchy sound, and extremelyfast transient response to preventoverloading speakers or recorders.
The Graphi-Q digital delay providesprecise speaker alignment, with 20-microsecond resolution, at the touchof a button. And you get dedicatedbypass switches for FBX, EQ, andDelay with built in LED indicators.
Sabine’s Graphi-Q Remote Controlsoftware gives you instant access toall front panel controls and to an addi-tional layer of functions. You can viewand edit frequency response curves, view edits before executing them, andtake advantage of unlimited Graphi-Qfile storage.

• Patented FBX Feedback Exterminator: Industry standard automatic feedback control; works in setup and during the program. Super-accurate algorithm places filters on feedback, not on music.
• Patented ClipGuard™ Adaptive Clip Level Control: Accepts inputs up to 26 dBV, prevents digital clipping,& extends S/N ratio to >105 dB.

• Graphi-Q Remote Control Software for Windows: Control up to 8 Graphi-Qs via computer. Every Graphi-Q includes serial port and software for remote control, and remote switching connections for selecting user-defined presets.
Using your computer as a platform gives you unlimitedmemory storage of Graphi-Q files. Each file holds up to70 presets, and you can transfer these settings to theon-board memory locations within each Graphi-Q. Youcan also access the first seven Graphi-Q memory loca-tions via the back-panel Euro-block remote switchingconnectors. Using a simple contact closure switch, youcan offer scene change options to users who have noother access to any Graphi-Q controls.
FBX filters do not disturb your program materialbecause their ultra-narrow width remains constant nomatter how deep they go. Only the feedback is eliminat-ed, not the power and sound you work so hard toachieve. And in Turbo Setup Mode, the FBX places fil-ters even faster, and at a very low signal level. Thewhole setup takes less than a minute, and it’s quieterthan ever.
Here’s what all this means to you: More gain beforefeedback, increased clarity and intelligibility, more wire-less microphone mobility, fast, easy setup, and adaptive,
automatic feedbackcontrol. No otheraudio device pro-vides these benefitsat this price.

3Other important features include the BACK button --
try any edits you want, and you can always go backto the last setting. Use the BYPASS and RESETmatrix to manage the status of every Graphi-Q func-tion, all in one window. Make fine adjustments toother Graphi-Q functions, including graphic EQ filterwidths, from ½ octave to one full octave; manual orautomatic clip level control; or attack, release, andknee on the compressor. We'll even show you a linegraph of your gain structure, graphically displayingthe thresholds and ratios.
The single-channel Graphi-Qs have two outputs formaximum system flexibility.Graphi-Q Remote allows youto independently choosewhich functions are active ineach of the two outputs, andto set delays independentlyfor each output. For exam-ple, you can delay channelone 50ms and channel two800ms, and choose which of the other process-ing you want on either or both channels: the FBX, thecompressor/limiter, or the equalizers.
The FBX Feedback ExterminatorEvery Graphi-Q comes with the latest generation
of Sabine’s patented FBX Feedback Exterminator.Sabine pioneered the automatic feedback controllerin 1990, and invented the digital feedback con-troller in 1991. The FBX in the Graphi-Q is thestate-of-the-art in automatic feedback control –fast, reliable, and quiet.
The secret to our success is the robust, patentedfeedback control algorithm. This innovative solu-tion identifies feedback and places super-narrowfilters with one Hz resolution, during setup and dur-ing the program. This real-time performance distin-guishes the FBX from all other feedback con-trollers. Each filter is custom-made at the momentof feedback, and is placed just deep enough toremove the ringing tone, in 3 dB steps.
The power of FBX automatic feedback control liesin its ability to distinguish feedback from programmaterial. If feedback occurs in that crucial momentof the play, or just when the worship leader beginsthe sermon, or in the middle of the big solo, theFBX can place a filter in less than a second, savingthe performance and making you the hero.
Dark gray area shows the sound & power
you get back when you use an FBX to
control feedback instead of a Graphic EQ.
