1. Have one and one only intern responsible (Buddy)
2. Set clear expectations with the intern, before arrival3. Send the EP a local information booklet and wiki link –
created by the LC
4. Before the EP leaves the country: have a check point and
follow a checklist – to make sure everything is in order
5. Meet and greet on arrival :)
6. Provide a Welcome Package, with necessities for the first
days in Norway, such as phone card, soap and a city map7. Support the EP with all the necessary VISA processes, to
come to Norway
8. Help the EP solve practical issues the first week or two in
Norway (police meeting, bank account, social welfare,
public transportation card)
9. First day at work: go together with intern, and have an ex-
pectation meeting with intern + company manager)
10. Social activity/welcome event within the first week of ar-
rival
11. Involve interns in LC-events, one social event minimum
per month. Have a calendar with all the reception activi-
ties taking place within the quarter
12. Have an evaluation meeting with the company + intern
week 6 after the work starts. Focus on professional and
personal development and see if everything is going ac-
cording to plan
13. Have one “Norwegian Night” during the internship, to
present Norway, our culture and give the interns a chance
to get to know more Norwegians
14. Organize a good bye party, for each intern, at the end of
their experience

and impact in the community, and see if everything is go-
ing according to plan

to get to know more Norwegians

1. Personal cultural preparation, based on the informa-
tion provided by the hosting country wiki, in myaiesec.net
2. Personal preparation on the specific legal poli-
cies, of the hosting country
3. Be available for a Skype meeting , before the start of
the internship, for expectation setting, and clarification of
questions
4. Send any necessary data and information, re-
quested by the hosting LC, a maximum of 48h after
these have been asked
5. Send out information about arrival details (flight
number, etc.), maximum 1 week before date of arri-
val. Otherwise, the hosting entity will not be held liable
for pick-up, as stated in XPP
6. Make sure to have key contact information of AIE-
SEC in Norway, before departing. You can find these in
our Reception Wiki7. Bring traditional things from your country, such as
food, drinks and,most important, your country’s flag.
These materials might be useful in a Global Village or Cul-
tural Dinner.
8. Guarantee that you have proper travel and health in-
surance, when arriving to Norway
9. Have sufficient funds to incur in all expenses, re-
lated to transportation, to and from the host country and
territory
10.Have sufficient funds to cover all living expenses
for the first four weeks of the exchange (10.000-15.000
NOK). This period can be prolonged in case the first sal-
ary is received after more than four weeks of exchange,
provided this information is outlined in the TN form
11.Officially register with the home embassy, in the
host country, if your home country requires12.Behave in accordance to cultural, religious, ethi-
cal norms, national or local law and other policies
that exist in the hosting country
13.Take a proactive role in informing the hosting entity,
about any situations or requirements
14.Inform the sending entity and take a proactive role, if
you want to be involved in AIESEC activities during
the exchange
