Point Series Introduction
Adamson’s Point Series includes 5 new models with EASE Data for the
range; the Point 8, Point 12 and Point 15 two-way enclosures, with
companion single-and double15” subwoofers; the Point115 Sub and
Point 215 Sub.
The Point Series incorporates everything the world has grown to love
about Adamson’s Touring products... high horsepower systems, with
all the subtleties.
Incorporating Adamson’s own Advanced Cone Architecture™, Point
Series low-mid transducers have unique Kevlar cone geometries
that reduce modal behaviour, providing an increased linearized
pass-band, for a warm and honest reproduction throughout the
spectrum. With the most powerful low-mid transducers in the industry,
combined with our unique waveguides and a precise selection
of high frequency components, our vocal is so transparent, even
Sparky can’t tell the difference.

two-way enclosures
The Point Series 2-way enclosures include Point 8, Point 10 (second
phase release – Not yet available), Point 12 and Point 15. All the
cabinets are available in both, active or passive versions. The Point
12 and Point 15 are equipped with either a 40 x 20, 60 x 40 or 90 x
60 rotatable Waveguide, for maximum flexibility. The smaller Point 8 is
also available with a 90 x 60 rotatable waveguide. The height of the
Point 8 matches the width of the Point 15 (for downfill applications),
and the width of the Point 115 Sub for smooth integration into arrays.
The Point Series has a multi-angle cabinet design allowing Point 8,
Point 12 and Point 15 enclosures to operate in monitor configuration.

The Point 115 sub is a flyable, single 15” available in passive and
active versions. The passive crossover is designed for a seamless
transition with the Point 8 (passive).
The Point 215 Sub is an active cabinet with dual 15” drivers loaded
in a manifold configuration. The compact package features a built-
in threaded pole mount socket and strategically placed standard
screws which can be replaced with eyehooks when needed.

Kevlar: Advanced Cone Architecture™
As a pioneer in the use of Kevlar in loudspeaker cone technology,
Adamson has been implementing specially treated Kevlar in the low
and mid band speaker designs for over 20 years.
The Point Series has been designed to provide a complete solution
where single source loudspeakers are preferable over line source
arrays. When building Adamson’s point source loudspeaker system,
special attention was paid to not only to rigging versatility and fidelity,
but to box output and pattern control.
As a pioneer in the use of Kevlar in loudspeaker cone technology,
Adamson has been implementing specially treated Kevlar in the low
and mid band speaker designs for over 20 years.
Adamson’s Advanced Cone Architecture™ combined with cutting
edge Neodymium driver technology, ensures maximum SPL with zero
cone fatigue, while providing minimal axial modes in the passband.
Superior power handling, greater output and consistently stable low
end is achieved, all while keeping weight to a minimum.
The low frequency driver baskets in the Point Series utilize enlarged
heat sinks and thermal fins to draw heat away from the coil, lowering
its operating temperature and minimizing thermal compression.

SLR™ Rigging System
All Point Series 2-way enclosures include Side Lock Revolver™ (SLR™)
rigging sockets for both vertical and horizontal arraying methods, as
does the Point 115 Sub. The SLR™ rigging system includes Quick-
lock™ vertical & horizontal brackets, as well as the Quick-lock
Articulator™ hardware for 2-deep arrays, and Quick-lock Butterfly
Brackets™ for 2-wide arrays. SLR™ sockets also host Sight Mount™
hardware for multiple adjustable angle mounting options. Cabinets
are fitted with four 5/16-threads for Omni Mount 30 or 60 wall-mount
systems.

Point enclosures offer a unique anisometric hexagon profile, with
foam covered powder coated steel grilles. With a sleek industrial
design, the enclosures are built of 11ply, 5/8-inch Baltic Birch, the
same as our touring series. A recessed rear panel features a pair
of 45-degree angle NL-4 Speakon™ connectors that allow close
mounting to a wall. The universally used 213 classic RAL colors are
available to contractors who need to color-match loudspeakers, as
well as their rigging accessories.
