BIO DATABala Sivakumar is Vice President with HNTB Corp in the New York City Office. He is the Co-Principal Investigator for the SHRP2 R04 Project for HNTB and the lead developer of the ABC Toolkit. He has over 30 years national bridge engineering experience and has served as the lead engineer on many large and complex bridge projects in various states. He has also been active in bridge engineering research in LRFD, LRFD and calibration of bridge loadings. He was the primary author of the AASHTO LRFR methodology and has assisted NYSDOT in the transition to LRFR for statewide ratings. He has a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India.
