Consider what advice First Things,
a journal of religion and public
life, recently gave to incoming
college freshmen as it considered
recent polling showing employers’
dissatisfaction with higher
education: “take courses with
serious liberal arts content—Great
Books readings (not pop culture),
world religions, important histories
(e.g. Imperial Rome), another
language, logic. Employers want
people who can read, write, and
think, people who know things.”
Saint Agnes School provides all of
these opportunities to students —
while they are in high school.

Hood in 4th grade alongside Medieval History. While studying parts of speech in English Grammar, students learn their counterparts in Latin. They copy Egyptian hieroglyphics in Studio Art while studying
ancient Egypt in History. Students also sing songs about virtue in General Music while they are discussing and practicing the Cardinal Virtues with their Homeroom teacher and classmates.
