Striving to fulfill the objective for improving the overall quality of HEIs, UGC has developed the scheme of “Paramarsh” a new initiative for mentoring the non-accredited institutions to enable them get accredited by 2022. The scheme intends to promote well performing accredited institutions to mentor the NAAC accreditation aspiring institutions to upgrade their academic performance and get accredited. The scheme is designed to strengthen Mentor-Mentee relationship and thus to lead towards quality education
The criteria based assessment forms the backbone of accreditation and assessment process of NAAC. The seven criteria represent the core functions and activities of a HEI. In the revised framework not only the academic and administrative aspects of institutional functioning but also the emerging issues have been included The Curricular Aspects i.e. first criterion of NAAC is the mainstay of any educational institution. However, the responsibilities of various HEIs in this regard vary depending on their administrative standing. with curricular aspects is mainly in their implementation while its participation in curriculum development, procedural detailing, assessment procedures as well as certification is peripheral and these are “givens''. Whereas a University has the mandate to visualize appropriate curricula for particular programmes, revise/update them periodically; ensure that the outcomes of its programmes are defined by its bodies. In case of Autonomous Colleges curricular responsibilities are similar to the Universities. Criterion I pertains to the practices of an institution in initiating a wide range of programme options and courses that are in tune with the emerging national and global trends and relevant to the local needs. Apart from issues of diversity and academic flexibility, aspects on career orientation, multi-skill development, feedback system and involvement of stakeholders in curriculum updating are also gauged. To disseminate relevant information and the parameters of the revised framework related to Criterion I ie Curricular Aspects Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Career College, Bhopal is organizing a Two-Day National Conference titled, “National Conference on Innovations, Distinctiveness and Best

National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) plays a pivotal role in the process of assessment and accreditation of HEIs for quality assurance and sustenance. NAAC has revised its framework in continuance of the concern for excellence; this ensures regular introspection by the HEIs of the quality teaching-learning and curriculum, in keeping with the steadily changing local, regional, technological and global scenario in higher education and makes the learning process more dynamic. The revised process has also strengthened the accreditation process by making it more robust, objective, transparent and scalable. This has been made possible with the Data Validation and Verification process of the quantitative matrices. The accreditation and ranking matrices formulated by NAAC enable a wide quality spectrum, growth and success of Higher Education Institutions and ensure that they contribute to national development and help students develop global competencies too. NAAC accreditation helps the HEIs to analyze their strengths, weaknesses, challenges and future opportunities to perform better on the global platform of modern higher education.
