language for any population. •Their study builds skills in reading, writing, reciting, and
translating. •Because they are not used in an everyday way by a
society, Interpersonal Communication is not a focus of study.

during the conversation. • Everyday topics: greetings, instructions,
directions, current events, class discussions, family and friends, social events, requests for information, academic discourse, etc.
