Onigiri Recipe
Esmeralda Aguilera-7ºA
Ingredients
• 2 glasses of rice
• Stuffing (Tuna and a sachet
of mayonnaise)
• 1 jar of Water
• A slice of nori
• 1.- Cook the rice. It is best to leave the rice in the
pot 20 to 30 minutes before lighting the fire so it
can get sticky.
• Let the rice set for a few minutes to cool. While you wait,
make the fillings. Mix tuna and mayonnaise while you
make time.
• 3.- Put a kitchen table and moisten your hands to
prevent the rice from sticking to you. Grab some rice
with a spoon.
• 4.- Make a deep cráter in the rice ball, but do not make
the hole completely. That’s where the stuffing goes, so
make it enough.
• 5.- Put the stuffing in the hole and make sure you do not overdo
it. Put some more rice in the crater to cover it. To make the
triangular shape, make an ‘’L’’ shape with your hand and use it to
shape the rice.
• 6.- Roll the nori around the onigiri.
• 7.- Wrap the onigiri in a plastic and put it in
the bento.
