Dear Instructors and Students,

I would like to invite you to the 39th Annual Mountain State Karate-Judo-Jujitsu

Championships on Saturday, April 6th, 2019 at St. Albans High School in St. Albans, WV.

The Karate portion of this event has been going on strong for 39 years, and features some of the top competitors from across the Mid-Atlantic Region. Hundreds of competitors from West Viriginia, Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Maryland, New York, South Carolina, and North Carolina

regularly attend this event. From beginners taking up competition for the first time, to advanced Black Belts and elite level athletes, this is a great event for all levels of competition.

There will be competition in Judo and Jujitsu as well. The rules of the this portion of the

competition will be in accordance with the US Jujitsu Federation and USA Traditional Kodokan Judo. For more information the rules for the Judo / Jujitsu competition go to the US Jujitsu website at www.usjjf.org.

Intermediate = 6th kyu - 3rd kyu

Advanced = 2nd kyu and up

Beginner = 1 year of training and under

Intermediate = 2 - 3 years

TEAM OF CHAMPIONS

The Team of Champions Award will go to the

10 member team that accumulates the most points. Points will be awarded for each win

during the competiton 1st place = 4pts, 2nd place = 3pts, 3rd place = 2pts, and

4th place = 1pt. Total accumulated points for all team members will

decide the champions. Each team must consist of 10 memebers - all the

same school. There is no limit to the number of teams for any

school. Each team must comply with a male/female ratio of

no less than 8 to 2.( Predominantly female teams must have at least 2 males. Predominantly male teams must have at least 2 females.)

There is no additional charge for this competition.
