Located in the heart of the Brooklyn Cultural District, the Mark Morris Dance Center is a hub of creativity - enriching the lives of community members, celebrating dance and music, fostering exploration, and encouraging lifelong learning in the arts.
In addition to the programs offered in-house, the Mark Morris Dance Group (MMDG) has established partnerships with many cultural and educational organizations throughout the area. Reaffirming Mark Morris’ longstanding commitment to making the arts available to all, these initiatives and programs go beyond the walls of the Center, bringing our programs into the community.
The School’s teachers and students reflect the diversity and creativity of our wonderful community which is, in turn, reflected in our programming. This includes year-round, quality instruction in a wide range of dance styles; free monthly Dance with MMDG family classes; and performing opportunities for members of the Student Companies. New this year is the expansion of our Special Kids Dance program, which offers Dance Fundamentals, Tap Dance, and a Creative Dance Inclusion class to students with special needs.
The School at the Mark Morris Dance Center is committed to maintaining affordable tuition rates and flexible payment options, but we also rely on the generosity of our families to maintain our programs, so please consider making a tax-deductible donation. We are proud to provide the highest quality dance and music education here at The School and look forward to seeing you in the hallways and studios of the bustling Dance Center.
