T HIS issue of our year book, marks a new era in the life of C. C. 1. For the first time since its beginning, owing to the change in the character of the school, the Hack is
edited solely by girls.
In many ways, we have been handicapped, but we have done our best and in presenting this volume to its readers, can only hope that it may be found worthy of holding a place among its predecessors. EDITOR.
Dedication
T 0 Jonathan Magic Meeker, our beloved President, whose steadfast loyalty and efficient service have largely con- tributed to make the Centenary Collegiate Institute for

Sergeant-at-Arms
HE first class to graduate from Centenary Collegiate Institute as a girls' school is now ready t o leap from the Commencement spring board into the whirling current of life. As the long looked for time approaches we dread the parting.
In our freshmen and sophomores years, we gave promise of being one of the largest classes ever grad- uated from C. C. I. At the end of our junior year, more than half of the members left, but we know that in spirit they are still with us.
When school opened last September, it was with heavy hearts we counted our members and found that only ten of the old class had returned, the following day, a great surprise came to us, five new but true and faithful members joined our ranks. New and old alike entered upon our last year with the Sam* object in view; to be true to the blue and black and to keep her standards, above all others in scholarship and athletics.
Many honors have beell won and responsible positions held by the members of our class. W e have tried in every way possible to advance the i~~ te res t s of our school and it is a great pleasure to us to feel that our efforts have not been in vain. For four years we have had common aims and have formed strong ties which will ever bind us+*- gether. W e will always be loyal and faithful to C. C. I. our Alma Mater. HISTORIAN.

The HACK has its .eye on you,
So be careful of what you do ; Some crazy little habit
That you never knew you had
Will serve to make the HACK board mighty glad.
No use to be dignified, for your faults
They will soon be spied.
No use to boast, for you'll get a worse roast; The HACK has its eye 011 you.
Under the spreading lemon tree
The C. C. I. knocker stands;
The tree is never known to yield Aught but the sourest brands; And unto all that come that way
The fruit thereof he hands.
Katherine Stone (translating)-"He sang softly with his

"Can we duet?" asked the tenor;
"Can we sing the song before us?
Can we do as they rechoir?"
And the answer was- "of chorus!"

"Say, Gwen, did you ever visit the Rogues' Gallery?" "No," I answered, "Where is the place?" "Well, well, never been to the Rogues' Gallery! You give
me your first spare moments, and we'll go up together. It's a place where all criminals have their picture taken, and un- derneath, it tells what they have been doing. Perhaps you can recognize some of your old friends."

filled with long halls, on the sides of which hung all sorts of pictures, with oflenses written in large black letters. I began to look aroutid in astonishme~it, and uttered an ex- clamation when I saw many familiar faces. At the top hung a large sign with these words underneath:
