Muktirajsinhji Chauhan, born 1949,studied at the School of

Architecture,Ahmedabad followed by a post-graduate course

in housing at the School of Architecture, McGill University,

Montreal. After working at the CEPT Consultancy Cell, he

joined Vastu-Shilpa Foundation for Studies and Research

in Environmental Design, Ahmedabad in 1978 and School

of Architecture, Ahmedabad as Assistant Professor in 1986.

Besides research and teaching , he has also been a consultant

on a range of projects from architectural design to large area

planning.

Kamalika Bose, born 1980, graduated from the School of

Interior Design, CEPT University, Ahmedabad in 2005. Since

then she has been associated with the SID Research Cell while

also undertaking independent research and documentation

projects. Her area of interest lies in understanding context

specific design developments and interventions. Besides

research, she has been working as an interior architect in

Kolkata, with a distinct focus on historic preservation andadaptive reuse.
