Employment First- ODDS Policy (2008) titled “Employment
for Working Age Individuals." requiring integrated employment services be specifically addressed and the “first” day service considered in each person’s Individual Support Plan.
- ODDS Internal Initiative highlighting the need to raise expectations and implement better practices around employment for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities

Discovery-PINS !• What are the preferences, interests needs and
needs, and strengths of young adult?
• Do not think about specific of specific jobs but vocational themes
because not everyone can be a “courtesy clerk”.
…but ask yourself, “why would this person be good for such a job? what hard skills does
this person possess?”
FILING – recognizing color codes, alphabetic organization, accountability.
