I'm sure I speak for the entire F&B team when I say Thank You so much for hosting such a great Job Fair.
I heard from multiple candidates of how they were so impressed with all the professional details from the initial greeting by the HR team to the nice certificate they received to return for new hire paperwork.
Thank you so much—Keli, Jayme, Jackie, Jenny, Patty, Traci & Miguel - for making the hiring process such a smooth transition.

Sarah Turgel, Constantino’s Chef de Cuisine, and Zach Johnson, Constantino’s Sous Chef, are two wonderful additions to the Chiricahua team. Each and every day they strive to provide a unique dining experience to our membership. The Constan-tino’s dinner menu provides classic Italian fair, modern interpretations of Italian with a Sarah and Zach flair, and creative nightly features by using several different types of fish from around the world. Each night they spend time working the room, chatting with mem-bership to build an outstand-ing DM brand. This love and passion for food and taking care of people spills over each night with creative and fresh staff meals. The service team looks forward to every evening to see
what they have up their sleeves. Chef Sarah and Chef Zach have created
interesting staff meal themes, such as San Francisco (clam chowder in bread bowls and house-made rice-a-roni), house-made Mexican and Italian dishes, pizzeria style pizzas on par with Pizzeria Bianco, and extensive salad bars with different toppings every evening. Everything is made in-house. Chef Sarah and Chef Zach truly take care of the external customer (membership) and the internal customer (employees) with the true essence of Spirit to Serve. Thank you for everything you do each and every day.

While monitoring the security cameras the other day, Fran Wolcott, Project Manager, noted that a vendor who had been hired to clean the chim-neys in all the Clubhouses had spent only four minutes "cleaning" a chimney at one Clubhouse, and nine minutes "cleaning" a chimney at another Clubhouse. Not on Fran's watch! After receiving the bill, which charged Desert Mountain Club for cleanings that were said to be complete, Fran promptly contacted the vendor and disputed the invoice. Fran informed the vendor that there was no way a
thorough and complete job could have been done in that amount of time. The following day, Fran met
the vendor on-site, inspected the areas in question, and informed the vendor that while we would pay him for his time, we would not pay the entire invoice, as the job had not been fulfilled. In detecting and confronting this dishonest vendor, Fran saved Desert Mountain a decent chunk of change, which speaks to his Financial Responsibility.
Great job, Fran!

Shawn Emerson once called Alex Ward, APH GC Super, "Steady Eddie". I have watched Alex become a better manager
every year since he began at Apache in 2007. Alex has improved by sticking to the plan, keeping accurate records, observing his golf course and using what he sees to make decisions. Alex is always willing to send members of his staff to help others and he watches his budget closely to keep within the numbers. Alex has learned the water distribution system and has assisted
Keith Hershberger when needed to keep the water flowing. I am glad
Alex is on our team because he gives the effort we need to make Desert Mountain the best. Desert Mountain has a lot of great managers and they all deserve to be recognized. Right now, it is Alex's time to take a bow for all his hard work and for demonstrating how the six core values make
us the best.

“It takes a Mountain” Once upon a time there was a prospective member of Desert Mountain. Nicole spoke with them many times to understand their desires, needs and wants for the Club they hoped to join. With one tour already done, an additional tour was scheduled: 8:00am – Nicole met the prospective members at the sales office to address additional questions. 8:30am – Keith Hershberger was kind enough, on Labor Day, to meet and answer questions about weather/frost delays & over-seeding methods. 8:45am – Pat O’Hara opened up the Performance Center and provided a tour of the amenities and fantastic technology. 9:30am – Dan Grenz hosted them on Renegade (side note thank you to Pat Denney
whom also hosted on Chiricahua the week prior). 2:00pm – Nicole guided them to Sonoran where Matt Wooldridge gave a fantastic overview of the spa and fitness amenities. 2:30pm – Nicole took pro-spects to Outlaw where Josh Gilchrist and staff did a won-derful job wowing our guests. 3:30pm – Our prospective couple requested an application for membership!
Great job to everyone!

Two members were on a bike ride and stopped by Sonoran to have lunch. When they returned to their bikes they noticed they had flat tires. Lauren
Lehrner, Boutique Sales Super, took it upon herself to get her car and give them a ride home so they could get their truck and retrieve their bikes. This is true Spirit to Serve and another happy member story.
