We ut i l ise digit al t echnologies t o provide a single source of inform at ion.
We are compliant with PAS 1192-2:2013, BS 1192:2007 and BS 1192-4:2014. We have successfully achieved verification certification to PAS 1192-2 covering Design and Construction for Level 2 BIM for our design, manufacture, installation and supply of specialist services to the building industry.
Our BIM procedures use advanced software applications to deliver stage models from Stage 3 through to Stage 5, enhancing the stage 5 models to real-world fabrication models.
We are constantly reviewing and enhancing our processes to ensure we deliver accurate models with COBie output available and during the relevant stage, clash detection and collaboration with all design team members.
We take the lead on the co-ordination of the full M&E services and collaborate closely with Architects and Structural Engineers to resolve challenges that arise before the installation starts, saving both time and money.
Embracing the BIM culture has always been seen as an important component of project delivery by Kershaw, providing a collaborative way of working and utilising digital technologies to provide a single source of information. These practices are proven to drive out waste and inefficiencies resulting in smoother and quicker construction processes with less scope for mistakes, disagreements or delays.

Thermal imaging can be especially useful when assessing new build developments, ensuring there are no underlying issues and ensuring they meet the requirements of Part L2(b) of building regulations.
The use of a thermal imaging camera can identify insulation deficiencies, retained moisture, pipe or flue blockages and so on, all from the temperature differences.
Not only does this help to identify problems, such as dampness, but it also avoids access problems to overhead ducts or cables, as direct contact is not needed.
A proactive thermal survey can identify missed insulation along with other issues, giving the developer and contractor an opportunity to rectify any problems before the purchaser moves in.
The cost of rectifying issues at this stage of the build is minimal, it can eliminate the financial and reputational risk associated with customer complaints and claims and it could help to reduce warranty costs and fees. This is why more and more developers are choosing to get all units thermal imaged prior to handover.

Maintenance and Refurbishment

A proact ive st ance is t he best opt ion for keeping your roof in t op condit ion.The roof is an integral component of an often complex building envelope and modern roofing
systems are an important element of a building?s energy efficiency that needs to be maintained.
Modern-day roofing systems all come with a warranty which stipulates the need for an annual check. Failing to do this will invalidate any
warranty.
A planned preventative maintenance programme will help ensure you adhere to your warranty, with any works required carried out in line with
the manufacturer?s guidelines.
However, once an older roof has started to give
rise to persistent problems, you need to consider a partial or full re-roof to solve the issues.
Our team will investigate the existing roof build-up and determine the most suitable system for replacement, providing full technical design
expertise and industry leading manufacturers? warranties.
We will conclude with a series of recommendations including a phased re-roofing
schedule, full scope of works and a detailed budget plan.
