Український центр в Франції

Поблизу руїн старої Римської святині, в кутику Франції недалеко границі з Німечиною далекоглядний о. Павло Когут дав основу реколєкційного-відпочинкового центру. З початку 80-их років він допомагав здійснити будову нашого храму в Люрді, а відтак переїхав на Схід щоби там здійснити нову візію. Отець власними силами і власними грішми закупив простір і взявся до будови центру з великою залею, каплицю, спальнями для прочан. Але після його смерти обставини змінилися і його проєкт не завершився, аж приїхали з України молодий священник з добродійкою!

Justastone’sthrowdownthewayfromthisexcitingarcheologicaldiscovery,anothersanctuarywasdiscoveredbyayoungcouple,FrSviatoslavandhiswife,Justina,sentfromUkrainebyourBishopofFrancetoservetheburgeoningpocketsofUkrainianCatholicfaithfulthere.FatherandDobrodikadiscoveredtheabandonedanddecayingremnantsofaUkrainianCatholicsettlementwhereacoupleofgenerationsagoUkrainianpostwarsurvivorscreatedahaven,aplaceofpilgrimage,forvibrantculturalandspiritualrenewal.Theyoungpairfoundaghosttownofsorts,derelictbuildingsthatechoedlifefrombeneaththemoundsoftrashandwastethatseemedtodesecratethefadediconographystillvisiblethroughtheovergrownbushesandweeds.Despitedecadesofneglectandvandalism,jarsofhomemadepreservescontinuedtolinethoseshelvesthathadnotcollapsed,mattressesstillsatonbedframesandfadedphotoswhisperedhope,laughter,life.
