Raid—Redundancy Array of Independent Disks
OMM Server with RAID card and two hard disks can adopt RAID1.
Disk array of Billing Server equipped with three hard disks can adopt RAID5 mode; Disk array of Billing Server with more than four hard disks can adopt RAID0+1 mode.
Installation of Win2000 Server
ModeMode DescriptionDescription
RAID0 Make a virtual disk out of n disks. The available capacity is n disks.
Data are alternately written to these disks.No redundancy data but high read-write performance.
RAID1 Make a virtual disk out of two disks. The available capacity is 2 disks.
Data are duplicated on these two disks. Quick read but slow write. Good data redundancy.
*RAID5 Make a virtual disk out of n disks. The available capacity is n-1 disks. Data are alternately written to these disks. Quick read but slow write. Good redundancy data.
*RAID0+1 Make a virtual disk out of n disks. The available capacity is n/2 disks.
Data are copied between two mirror disks. High read-write performance and good data redundancy.

Installation of Dual Billing Server
Dual system comprises two servers with identical configurations and a disk array.The two servers are monitored by a heartbeat cable.The two servers are in active/passive mode.The disk array can only be accessed by the active server.

Installation of Dual Billing Server1. Start disk array and server A, install Win2000, SQL Server 2000 and
Billing system as 130.
2. Set “MSSQL Server” service startup type to “manual”, delete “SerApp.exe” from startup folder and then modify the IP and computer name to 131.
Note: Install SQL program on the local disk but the data to the disk array.
3. Shut down server A and start server P. Install Win2000, SQL Server 2000 and Billing system as 130. Set “MSSQL Server” service startup type to “manual”, delete “SerApp.exe” from startup folder. Then modify the IP and computer name to 132.
Note: Windows login account and password, SQL Server installation program folder, data folder and size should be identical to those of server A.
4. Start both servers, install Cluster software, establish heartbeat link and start cluster operation on both servers.
5. Setup cluster resources on the active server.

ZTE HLRdatabase 170
ZTE gateway 200
Far-end service agent
TCP connection
Port No. 3000
IP address
Agent 1
Agent 2
Agent 3
ZTE Gateway detects the TCP connection of remote service agent from Port 3000.
Installation of Remote Service Agent
ZTE Gateway assigns an IP address and node code to each service
agent that wants to access HLR database.If a service agent only has one IP address (assigned by ZTE
Gateway), it requests to connect(…) ZTE Gateway Port 3000.
If a service agent has multiple IP addresses, it requests to
Bind(…) before connect(…) to Port 3000 of the gateway. The
binding IP address is the IP address assigned by the gateway.
Installation of Remote Service Agent
ZTE Gateway can be an independent server or OMM Server(129).
Example:
Area code of 129=010, Office code=1, Node code=129;
Gateway IP of the ZTE Gateway is 192.80.1.253;
Gateway IP of the other side is 120.1.1.1;
IP of remote service agent is 120.1.1.33;
Node code assigned to the service agent is 201.
Installation of Remote Service Agent
Installation Procedure1. Copy file to c:\zxg10\tcpout.exe( Communication gateway program) of 129;2. Copy file to c:\zxg10\tcpdog.exe( Communication gateway watchdog) of 12
9;3. Copy file to c:\winnt\tcpout.ini( Communication gateway config file) of 129;4. Create c:\zxg10\tcpdog.exe in the startup folder of 129;5. Create an IP 192.80.1.200 on 129;6. Create a Gateway 192.80.1.253 on 129;7. Start c:\zxg10\tcpdog.exe。
200 gateway connects to 129.The line connecting 200 gateway and 129 is green. The line connecting 200 to service agent 201 is red.Ping service agent IP 120.1.1.33. If it replies, then the configuration at our side is normal.

Installation of OMC-Server
Installation of Dual Billing Server
Create the following cluster resources:
Volume(M)
IP Address
Alias Name
NT Service (MSSQLSERVER, SQLSERVER AGENT, FTP)
User Define (SerAppMa.exe , Cdrpick.exe )
Select driver M:
Select “Cluster System” in “Configure Cluster” window.
Copy CdrPick.exe to M: and set Post-picking folder to M:;Point FTP service folder to Post-picking folder;
Installation of Service Processing Application
Click the “Scsetup.exe” program under the “Install\Smsc\Scsetup\I386”
Create “Smscdb” and run “smscdb.sql” script under the “Install\Smsc\Config”.
Dual Service Server
Create the following cluster resources:
Volume
IP Address
NT Service (MSSQLSEVER, SQLSERVERAGENT)
Installation of SMPP Agent Application
If cluster is adopted, only “IP Address” resource is required.
Troubleshooting
1. SQL Server is not correctly installed.
Re-install SQL Server.
2. SQL Server logon user password is not correctly set.Reset password.
3. Failure of booting a database during subsystem installation.Cause: repeated installation of the same subsystem.
Solution:use Task Manager to kill the corresponding process, reboot and reinstall.
