High Leakage Current
Earth connection is essential before connecting supply.
DC Short Circuit
Avoid short circuit during operation. ZXDU58 B900 system is a power supply product ofconstant DC voltage.
Connecting or Disconnecting Power Cable
Power cable operation with power ON will cause fatal danger to operation personnel anddamage to the equipment.
l Set all the breakers and switches to Off prior to connecting or disconnecting a powercable.
Setting all the breakers and switches to Off will cause power supply interruption to theloads connected. Do not shut down the system without permission. Or, switch theloads to another power supply system.
l Prior to connecting a cable, make sure that the cable and its label are in accordancewith the requirement.
Tools Safety
When operating high-voltage equipment, tools safety must be considered. Use InsulatedTools.
Electrostatic Damage
Electrostatic discharges generated by human body may damage components. Use wriststraps when handling the equipment. Insulate the uncovered metals to prevent shortcircuit.
Operation on Battery
l Before performing any operation on battery, read the safety precautions in the batterymanual.
l Connect the battery cables according to the instructions. Avoid short circuit andelectrolyte leakage.

1.1 System IntroductionThe ZXDU58 B900 is an embedded power supply equipment. It can provide –53.5 V powerfor mobile base stations, access network equipment, remote switch offices, transmissionequipment, ground satellite transceiver stations, and microwave communication devices.
l AC input mode: single-phase, three-wire (L/N/PE).l In full configuration, the ZXDU58 B900 system is equipped with three ZXD030 S480
rectifiers, which form a power system with a maximum of 90 A output.

1.2 System FeaturesThe ZXDU58 B900 system has the following features:
l A wide range of input phase voltage (85 VAC to 300 VAC) makes the system suitablefor areas with unstable voltage.
l Compact structure design.
à The ZXDU58 B900 chassis is 6U in height and 19 inches in width. It can beembedded into a main equipment rack or cabinet.

à The ZXDU58 B900 chassis contains the AC distribution unit, DC distribution unit,rectifiers and monitoring unit.
à Cable connection and system maintenance in front.
l Hot-pluggable rectifiers.l Intelligent monitoring unit.l Support multiple networking modes, such as RS232, RS485 and IP/SNMP (optional).l High reliability with MTBF≥ 2.2 × 105 h.
1.3 Working ScenarioFigure 1-2 shows the working scenario of ZXDU58 B900 which can be embedded into a19–inch rack or cabinet.

Caution!
Protect the equipment against ingress of objects with harmful effects, such as conductiveobject and water. Otherwise, short circuit may occur and damage the equipment!
The requirements of the AC input power system of ZXDU58 B900 are as follows:
l The AC input mode of the ZXDU58 B900 system is single-phase three-wire (L/N/PE).l The AC input voltage is 85 V - 300 V (phase voltage). The capacity of the AC input
switch that powers ZXDU58 B900 should be larger than 40 A.l It is suggested to install a leakage current protection device in the AC power
distribution system that powers ZXDU58 B900.

3.2 Signal Interface of SIBThe Signal Interface Board (SIB) provides external communication interfaces andmonitoring unit signals interfaces. The SIB board is shown in Figure 3-2.

6.2 Automatic BLVD ControlIntroduction to BLVD ControlThe ZXDU58 B900 system has Battery Low Voltage Disconnect (BLVD) function.
When the battery voltage falls to LVD1 Volt., the system disconnects the batteries to avoidbattery over-discharge.
Note:
The ZXDU58 B900 system can immediately power the loads with mains recovery afterfailure.
Related ParametersTable 6-2 lists the default and range of the related parameters, LVD1 Volt. and LVD2 Volt.
In the monitoring unit, users can access Ctrl > 1. Setup Para > LVD1 Volt. and LVD2Volt. to modify the value of the two parameters.
