At first, thank you for choosing ZXDSL 9806H Broadband Universal Access Systemof ZTECorporation!
The ZXDSL 9806H (V2.1) provides unified narrowband and broadband access gateway inNGN. By using packet service and TDM double-bus technology, the ZXDSL 9806H (V2.1)is added with narrowband access capability. With the network development, the ZXDSL9806H can transfer to the pure broadband network smoothly.
This purpose of this manual is to let the carrier master the basic information of the ZXDSL9806H.

Configuration
In full configuration, the shelf can hold one backplane, one power card, one SCCB card,four user cards and one fan box. Figure 2-3 shows the full configuration.

Power Consumption
The power consumption of the shelf is 135 W when the system supports the ADSL2/2+service and the shelf is in full configuration.
The power consumption of the shelf is 121 W when the system supports the VDSL serviceand the shelf is in full configuration.
2.3 SCCB CardFunctions
The following are the SCCB card functions:
l Configuration, management and control on the user cardsl Broadband service processing: Supports the access of xDSL service and Ethernet
service. Implements the data switching between the user port and uplink/cascadeport.
l Narrowband service processing: Supports the access of the voice service through theVoIP daughter card.
l Provides FE optical/electrical interfaces, GE optical/electrical interfaces, EPONinterfaces and GPON interfaces through different daughter cards.
Panels
The SCCB panels are various and provide different uplink interfaces depending on differentdaughter cards. The SCCB panels are as shown in the following figures from Figure 2-4to Figure 2-11.

2.6 ASTEB CardFunctions
The following are the ASTEB card functions:
l Provides 24 ADSL/ADSL2+ user ports and POTS ports, implementing the access ofADSL/ADSL2+ service.
l Transfers the ATM cells to IP packets.l The maximum transmission distance is 6.5 km.l The downstream rate reaches up to 26 Mbps and the upstream rate reaches up to 1
Mbps.
