ANNOUNCEMENTS & EVENTS

Due to the many ways the Hospitality Committee has served recently (Easter breakfast, Building Debt Elimination Meal, and EMHS Choir

Meal) the Church Picnic has been cancelled for TODAY .

TODAY is also the deadline to donate 8x8 inch fabric squares for the children’s story time comforter. Thank you for participating in

this unique and lasting gift to the ZMC children! Summer Sunday school begins June 4! Children – Children will meet in two groups

(Age 3-5, Rising 1st-6th grade) Jr MYF – will continue with their class in June and August.

In July they will assist with the children’s classes Sr MYF – will assist with the children’s classes June through August Adults – invited to continue with their classes as usual. No adult intergenerational class will be offered this summer.

We're combining with Ridgeway Mennonite again in Division 1 (ZMC/RMC). Games this week: Tuesday, May 30, Field: WR at 7 p.m. (vs NBC) & 8 p.m. (vs DMC) June 19-22: Zion & Trissels churches will join together for Vacation Bible School this summer! It will be held at Trissels Mennonite Church (Monday-Thursday) 9:00-11:30 a.m. There is a community meal for all who help and attend VBS as well as their families on Thursday evening, June 22, at 6 p.m. This will be a culminating time of celebration and fellowship. If you are interested in helping out at VBS, email Hannah at: [email protected]. We hope Zion families can come as well as others we invite to come along. ZMC – PRAYER OPPORTUNITIES Week of May 28, 2017

“Rejoice always, pray continually...” ~1 Thessalonians 5:16,17

PRAYERS FOR THE CHURCH •The Metzler family as they have begun their sabbatical journey, as they learn to rest, and as they renew family bonds during this time God has given them. •The Interim Leadership Team as they step up in leadership during Pastor Mike’s sabbatical. •Crystal and David Rohrer as they anticipate the birth of their firstborn any day! •The people in our congregation who are grieving the loss of a mother or father from this past year. •For David Pence as he travels with his cross-cultural group in Bolivia. •Phil Yoder, who continues his travels in Israel-Palestine. •Ben Emswiler, as he travels in Kenya to do service work with a local group there. He returns to the States May 31. •That we would experience the new creation that God offers through Christ during this season of Easter. •Ken and Judy Nafziger who are discerning the next step. •Marci Myers, who continues to recover from the radiation treatment on her arm. •Phoebe Brenneman, who continues to heal from her traumatic fall. God’s Mission and the wider church - Pray for Eugene Souder and Wayne Showalter as they invite neighbors in the area to come worship God at Zion or Grace Mennonite Fellowship.
