PATA News Fall Festival is Coming! Mark your calendars now to attend our "Barnyard Bonanza" on Thursday, October 26, 2017, 6-8 p. m. This major fundraiser for PATA and for the 7th and 8th grade classes will be an event filled with food, games and fun activities for all ages. We need your help to make this event a success. There are plenty of opportunities to serve- decorating, staffing activity/food stations, picking up supplies, clean up, etc. Please email us at [email protected] if you are interested in helping. Look for more information from PATA and from your child's teacher in the coming days. Room Parents are Needed! Teachers are in need of room parents for their classes. The Room Parent works in collaboration with the teacher to plan and implement class parties and to coordinate with other parents to volunteer for class and school activities. The Room Parent also serves as a point of contact for PATA to disseminate information and solicit volunteers for school activities. If you are interested in serving in this capacity, please let your child's teacher know and send an email to us at [email protected].

October Service Project: “Jeans for Teens” Did you know teens in the United States between the ages of 12-17 are most at risk of becoming homeless? In Matthew 25:36-40 Jesus said that when we clothe the naked we in are fact serving Him. Please join Takoma Academy Preparatory School & Salt, Life, and Love as we donate gently used or new jeans (all sizes) to homeless youth in D.C. that are being supported by the Sasha Bruce Youthwork (a homeless youth advocacy and shelter program in South East DC). Please bring your donations any day next week. Boxes will be placed in the gym. Our donations will go a long way. Thank you in advance for your contributions. May God bless you and your family as you bless others.
