The Zengweng Reservoir began construction in 1967, and was completed in 1973. After the reservoir was filled and became a lake, this remote area soon became a gorgeous lake that reflected the beauty of the forests by its side.

In order for the public to enjoy the natural beauty and rich natural ecological resources, it was officially opened to tourism in July, 1974.

The Zengwen Reservoir area offers beautify scenery along the road, such as flourishing Delonix regia and lush trees.
