Steps Key Points PicturesBefore starting at a location discuss with supervisorany special considerations for the property.Important: Do not have mower running over any surfaceexcept grass you intend to cut.

1) Identify the direction the yard was mowed last time2) Determine mowing direction The direction should progress through 4 different

directions: at an angle to the left, to the right, with thebuilding, at the building.

3) Pick up all debris from turf4) Mow two passes around the perimeter of the turf5) Determine a corner to start in Starting in a corner rather than the middle of the turf

keeps you from doing half then walking back to themiddle to mow the other half.

6) Position your mower in the direction you wish to mow7) Select a point directly in front of you8) Mow directly toward that point to the edge of the turf Mow all the way to the edge of the turf not just to the

perimeter passes9) Turn the mower One set of tires should be on the outside line of the last

pass with the other set toward the uncut turf. Do notturn on side walks or driveways.

10) Verify that previous pass was straight. If necessary make an adjustment to the position of themower to ensure the next pass will be straight

11) Repeat 7 through 10 until entire turf is mowed.

This includes rocks, trash, sticks, ect.It is ok to mow three perimeter passes inside a fence
