i tisuće ljudi odlaze ondje da u blagodatima mora i darovima prirode te uz stručnu pomoć smanje tegobe i pronađu zdravlje. Među prirodnim bogatstvima kojima Nin obiluje jed-no od najvrjednijih je ljekovito blato (liman, peloid) koje liječi i blagotvorno pomaže desetljećima. Već su stručnjaci za peloid Medicinskog fakulteta u Beču neposredno pred I. svjetski rat radili analize ljekovitog blata iz Nina i donijeli odluku o gradnji lječilišta. Ali okolnosti vezane uz Prvi i Drugi svjetski rat prolongirale su ideje za budućnost.No, ljekovita svojstva ninskog blata nisu zaboravljena pa je Nin pri Akademiji medicinskih znanosti u Zagrebu još 1960. upisan kao talasoterapijsko lječilišno mjesto i nalazište morskog peloida u sjevernoj Dalmaciji s ljetnom klinikom na otvorenom. Pod nadzorom i u organizaciji medicinskog osoblja Opće bolnice iz Zadra već gotovo pet desetljeća blato se koristi za liječenje raznih tegoba. Rehabilitacija i oblaganje blatom provodi se u Lječilištu u Ninu tijekom ljetnih mjeseci: srpnju i kolovozu, a povremeno u lipnju te rujnu. Tijekom terapije odvijaju se tjelovježbe na plaži koje vode fizioterapeuti, a potom slijedi plivanje u moru kao produžetak terapije. Above All, HealthThe effects of mud from Nin on human health have been known from the time of the ancient Romans. Since that time thousands of people have come to ease their ailments and find health with professional help, using the benefits of the sea and nature and will certainly continue to come in future.Among the gifts of Nature, which are abundant in Nin, one of the most valuable is the medicinal mud (liman mud, a peloid) which has been used for its curative and beneficial effect for decades. Just before the First World War peloid experts from the Faculty of Medicine in Vienna analysed the medicinal mud from Nin and decided to build a spa. However, circumstances surrounding the First and the Second World War derailed the idea until later times.The healing properties of the mud from Nin have not been forgotten though, so as early as 1960 Nin was registered

at the Academy of Medical Sciences in Zagreb as a spa providing thalassotherapy and a deposit of sea peloid in the northern Dalmatia with a summer open air clinic.For almost five decades under the supervision of and as organized by the medical staff from Zadar General Hos-pital, the mud has been used to treat various ailments. Rehabilitation and mud baths are provided in the Spa in Nin during summer months, that is July and August, and sometimes in June and September. The treatments include exercise sessions on the beach supervised by physiothera-pists, followed by swimming in the sea. The high-quality mud is always used fresh. It is taken from the natural environment and applied to the body. It consi-sts of humus and minerals which are created by decompo-sition of various plants in a process lasting several hundred years by mixing fresh and sea water in the shallow lagoon. In addition to scientific analysis, excellent experience of numerous patients is a proof of its healing properties.

No, ni to nije sve…Nin sa svojim atributima, među kojima je i planinski zrak s Velebita obogaćen obiljem ozona zbog posebne tzv. ruže vjetrova, ugodan je za boravak i donosi mnoge koristi za psihičko i fizičko zdravlje. Experts confirm that the area of Nin and its surroundings is a unique landscape of rare plant and animal species with as many as eight Natura 2000 habitats which are important for conservation of endangered species and habitat types of the EU.
