Hitachi applied all its excavator expertise in the design of its zero-tail-swing compactexcavators — the Zaxis 27U-2, 35U-2, and Zaxis 50U-2. These machines meet customerdemands for operating comfort, fuel efficiency, and reliability. Operators have superiorcontrol over the machine from the relaxed seat. Owners enjoy a lower cost ofownership due to the machines’ durability and easy maintenance.

Tough Boom and Stick Design Boom/stick design is similar to bigger models for extremeapplications. Bucket cylinder hose is housed inside arm forprotection. The hydraulic attachment package is standard.

Tilt-Up Floor The cabin floor can be tilted up for easy, quickservicing even in the case of an emergency. Thefloor can be tilted up to 50 degrees for easy accessto the swing mechanism and starter motor.

High-Power Engine The Zaxis 27U-2 is equipped with a Yanmar 3TNV88 engine whichgenerates 26.4 hp @ 2,200 rpm (19.7 kW/min-1).

The Zaxis 35U-2 is equipped with a Yanmar 3TNV88 engine whichgenerates 29.9 hp @ 2,500 rpm (22.3 kW/min-1).

The Zaxis 50U-2 is equipped with a Yanmar 4TNV88 engine whichgenerates 39.9 hp @ 2,500 rpm (29.8 kW/min-1). Meeting all Tier II non-road emissions regulations.

Higher Productivity Zaxis uses the latest technologies to achieve lower totaloperational costs while boosting productivity. The Yanmar engineprovides an excellent balance of power and fuel efficiency.

Lower Operating Costs Reduced fuel consumption, a strengthened mainframe, frontattachment and undercarriage, longer lubrication intervals, 2,000-hour hydraulic oil, and 500-hour hydraulic oil filters all work together to extenddurability while reducingrunning and repair costs.
