KIRAN INDIA
A Registered Society For Providing
Medical Relief And Facility To The Underprivileged
3
• It all started with the establishment of a hospital in the name of ZAINISS HOSPITAL in Gomtinagar one of the most posh localities of Lucknow.
• The hospital started receiving patients who could not afford the cost of medical treatment.
• The hospital was also receiving patients who were just dumped in the Emergency by the bystanders or the police and just no one to look after.
• The management also noticed that a large number of T.B. patients were also reporting who were either drug defaulters or too poor to continue the treatment on long term basis.
4
• These patients were coming from extremely deprived section of the society like Rickshaw Pullers, Vegetable Vendors etc. A large number of patients also started coming from the rural areas which are close to Lucknow.
• These under privileged & un-treated patients led to the need of forming a society which would be able to take care of such patient’s Diagnosis, Management and Rehabilitation both emotionally and financially.
KIRAN INDIA was thus formulated in February 2002
