“MOMMA”
A mother’s love
Deeper than the deepest ocean, wider than the widest mountain
Your love was immeasurable; your love was unconditional
Your caring was endless; your spirit was infectious
Your smile was full of warmth; your touch was gentle
You taught us how to love, live and care
And for that, you will remain in our hearts forever.
Your body is at rest now and your mind is at peace.
We will always love you as your spirit dwells within us forever.
We Will Miss You!
Tv~ÇÉãÄxwzxÅxÇàDuring our season of sorrow, we want to take time to extend our
heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for all of the acts of kindness
extended to us during this time. The love, support, visits and phone
calls to our Mother during her illness meant the world to her and
our family. We are eternally grateful to God for you and the kind-
ness shown during the life and home going of our beloved mother.
It is truly a blessing to have the prayers and consolations of our
Church Family, friends and loved ones. May God forever bless
each and every one of you.

1938, in Jacksonville, Florida and was the youngest child born to Mur-
rell Francis Carter and Beatrice Griffin Carter, both of whom preceded
her in death. Francina’s siblings, Vernon Thomas Carter, Virgil Carter
and Rosetta louise Carter Hogan, as well as her husband, Alonzo ed-
ward “Pookie” King, also preceded her in death. A gracious, kind and
most loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and
friend, her love for her family and friends was only eclipsed by her
love for our lord and Saviour.

higher learning education at Florida normal College, Florida A&M
University, Temple University and ultimately received her bachelor’s
degree from edward Waters College. She would later obtain her Mas-

The consummate “educator” – Francina established her career serving
in the Duval County School System for over thirty years as a teacher,
school newspaper editor and theatre advisor. Her infectious spirit to

forming Arts.
She loved the lord and was a true Christian believer and servant.
Born and raised in “Her Bethel” - she was baptized into Bethel Baptist
Institutional Church and as a youth, would attend services with her
siblings led by their grandmother, Maggie laveda Carter. She faith-
fully served in several church ministries including the Bethel Choir,
