ENMU faculty and staff along with Chamber Ambassadors and board members cut the ribbon on the new Blackwater Draw Museum located in Lea Hall on the campus. The new site replaces the former location on U.S. 70 built in the 1960s. The new facility offers a fresh new look at the important ar-chaeological finds made over the decades at Blackwater Draw. Evidence links man to this area over 13,000 years ago. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. during the summer.
The Chamber named Bryan Froiland and Jusitn Riley as Volunteers of the Month for June. The two Cannon Air Force Base volunteers work in building trades in the Air Force and helped the Chamber by rebuilding the mobile stage used for Heritage Days and other events througout the year. Ambassadors and board members were on hand to present the award.
