    Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome back to Term 2. I hope you all had a restful half term and enjoyed the unexpected sunshine. I dont think the weatherwill be that kind to us this term, although thats not a problem to the children! Please remember that they will be outside in allweathers as we continue to abide by the saying t h e r e i s n o s u c h th i n g a s b a d w e a t h e r , o n l y b a d c l o t h i n g . Pleaseconsider this when dressing your child and it is always a good idea to pop a pair of spare socks in their book bag just in case water ormud creeps inside their welly boots. This term is jam packed full of Christmas excitement so please see the Dates for your Diarysection to ensure you dont miss out on anything. I look forward to another term of working together and thank you for yourcontinued support.

    Saying g oodby e :

Now that your child has settled in, we ask that you say goodbyein the cloakroom and refrain from bringing your child into the

Nursery. This will encourage your childs independencewhich is crucial for their personal development. It is often easierfor your child when you leave promptly and they settle muchquicker. I know this may be hard (for you!!) but it will be

    beneficial for your child.

Reading b o ok s :The children are now welcome to take books home to share fromthe class book box once again. I am sorry I had to put a stopto it temporarily but children were taking more that one book at

a time and we had hardly any left in class. Please ensure yourchild takes justONE book at a time. Thank you.

Cook ing money :Thanks to all those who donated to the cooking fund last

term, allowing us to make all kinds of wonderful foodwith the children. If we wish to continue weekly cookingthis term, I need to again request donations for Term

    2. We ask for 1.00 per week or 6.00 for theterm.

    Thank you in advance!!

Junk mode l l ing :Please can we have your clean recycling to use for junkmodelling. If you have any to spare, we would be very

    grateful!!

Uniform and Jewe l l ery:I have noticed that uniform has started to slip recently and somechildren have been coming to school in trainers, jewellery, with

nail polish and with tattoos. Can I remind you that these thingsareNOT permitted. If you are unsure of the dress code,

please see a member of staff.
