So You want to take yo-yo out for an adventure: No problem!

Once you have separated the story into 4 separate panels, and put them into a powerpoint/prezi/google slides… you are ready for GLORy!

- 1 Picture from the storybook.

- 1 problem from your head.

- 1 solution from the students.

- a pinch of movement and drama…

Step one: Get thepictures you wish to use!

Your preparation is limited to cutting and pasting pictures into a slide show and thinking up a problem.

In under 2 minutes, you have a reusable 5-7 minute activity… using the most powerful technology available:A child’s imagination!

You don’t need to use the speech balloon…

Just say “ooooohh Noooo!” have students repeat.

do it again. Then say the problem…

What can we do to make the bird happy?

sing a song?

Give it a ride in the boat?

Feed it?

The students will come up with the suggestions… choose one and act it out together.

… and solution, with all four pictures! Now Yo yo has finished his epic journey and solved the problems… thanks to the students!
