YOUTH WORKS 2013
HELIX Y O U T H M I S S I O N S M I N I S T R Y
EMPOWERING YOUTH WITH OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH AND CHANGE.
DEADLINES
Life moves at a fast pace and we all know the mail piles up.
We need students to sign up by April 1st. It would help us if we
had registered adult volunteers by May 1st. The sooner the
better.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
We also need businesses and individuals to get behind our
fundraising efforts. We are currently looking for sponsors who
could donate gift cards or materials. If you have a business that
would consider being part of this service project, please let us
know. 815-235-2824 or [email protected]
Our event coordinators will be happy to discuss this opportunity
with you. Once again we truly need both private and business
donations. We would love to add your name and company
logo to our event T-shirts.

COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS
Last year we raised enough funding to rehab the basketball
courts at Carl Sandburg. That was a big challenge and this
year we are looking to do more. On June 26th & 27th we
will be getting dirty for God. We will be assembling a group
of 50 youth to work on 5 – 8 worksites right here in
Freeport, IL. We are looking for youth from 5th thru 12th
grade. We are also looking for Adult leadership and
Corporate sponsorship. We plan to use registration fees
along with private and corporate donations to make a big
impact in our community. It’s amazing how a newly planted
flower bed can raise someone's spirits. With many hands
we can accomplish much work, Much Youth Works!
Consider becoming part of this amazing ministry. The kids
will have a great time and make some awesome memories.
Many youth haven’t had an opportunity to give back on such
a large scale. With your help and support we might just
change a few lives and grow more than some beautiful
flowers.
PROVIDING YOUTH WITH NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR
PERSONAL GROWTH THROUGH SERVICE PROJECTS.
YOUTH WORKS 2013 FUN STUFF
This event will also have a dance party on the first night. We
have enjoyed the music provided by Corey Engel at our
annual Halloween Lock-in and have decided to bring him
back for this event. The church will be setup for an evening
of fun and music for all who sign up to participate.
FAMILY STLE
After the first day of work, students will go home for a few
hours to shower, change and enjoy a meal at home. Our
hope is that students will use this time to prepare for the next
day as well as inform families of all they accomplished on
day one.
STUDENT ASSISTANCE
We want all our Helix students to participate. If the $50
registration fee is an issue, Please contact Kevin Eckert and
arrangements will be made.

ENTERTAINMENT
PLAY THAT FUNKY MUSIC
Our HELIX youth ministry wants to step out and live our faith.
We want to find the needs in our community and do all we can
to meet them. Our HELIX Youth Missions ministry will be
looking for ways we can give back. Maybe you know someone
in need of simple home repairs or beautification projects. Maybe
your organization is short handed and could use some
assistance. Please contact The Director of Children & Youth
Ministries, Kevin Eckert in the office at 815-235-2824 or by
email [email protected].
