Analysis The composition and framing is a profile close-up shot of the mask character placed within the middle of the poster making the audience mainly focus on that, but also creates a sense of mystery as it makes the audience of the poster wonder who it is under the mask as their identity is hidden. The colouring a lighting of the poster is extremely dark and dim in order to portray it is of the horror genre. As well as this the outer edges are darker than the middle of the poster once again creating the most focus to be in the middle of the poster. The only colour which seems to be present is the blood splattered on the mask, which connotes danger and violence but also mystery as it makes the audience once again question who is it under the mask? And whose blood is that? Are they still alive? The titling of the poster seems to be almost scratched in making it once again look effective and conform to the horror genre. However to further improve this I would make it bolder in order for it to stand out more and for more focus to be on it Using a rhetorical question as the tag line, did you remember to lock your door? Makes the audience question themselves also with fright therefore is extremely effective.
