CNRC HAS A YOUTUBE CHANNEL! If you have a YouTube account (you automatically have a YouTube account if you have a Google account), search for “Colts Neck Reformed

Church”. A picture of the church will be displayed along with the words “Colts Neck Reformed Church” and a red rectangle that says “SUBSCRIBE”. Click the “SUBSCRIBE” button and this will put our channel into your list of subscriptions for easy access. You do not have to subscribe – you can just click on the picture of the church or the words “Colts Neck Reformed Church” and you will be brought to the channel. Do note, when you search “Colts Neck Reformed Church”, some videos that YouTube thinks are affiliated with our channel will show up, but they are not necessarily ours. The way to be sure you are getting content that was posted by CNRC is to go to the channel and select the videos from there. What if you don’t have a YouTube account? You can still view our videos, you just can’t “like” or comment on a video and you can’t subscribe to our channel. Go to YouTube.com and follow the instructions above, skipping the “SUBSCRIBE” step. All of our live-streams (worship services, “Moments with Scott”) and other videos will be posted YouTube as well as being posted to Facebook. So if you’re less of a Facebook person and more of a YouTube person, we’ve got you covered!

CONNECTING VIRTUALLY: Until we can meet again face-to-face, we are using video conferencing to connect with the congregation via Zoom, a remote conferencing service. If you aren’t familiar with Zoom, Here is a link to Zoom Frequently Asked Questions. There are also many tutorials, blogs, videos, and articles on the internet

which can help you get started—just Google “zoom instructions”, or “zoom tutorials”, or “using zoom”, etc.; it’s quite user friendly and intuitive, so you should not have too much trouble! If you still have trouble or questions after checking those resources, email [email protected] and one of us will get back to you!

MUSIC FOR THE SOUL: “Just a Closer Walk with Thee” is Maggie’s most recent addition to our “Music for the Soul” section on our website. The section features Maggie Tripold playing familiar, comforting, and uplifting hymns on her piano. Go to https://coltsneckreformed.org/connect/music-for-the-soul to hear these beautiful hymns and to get the story behind them.

DAILY DEVOTIONS: Scott Brown is keeping our community connected with a brief devotional (scripture and prayer) that is emailed daily. If you’d like to receive this daily devotion, email [email protected] and request to be added to the list (keep an eye on your spam/junk folder since bulk emails tend to

be redirected to those folders). The devotional is also being posted on our “Colts Neck Reformed Church” Facebook page.

PRAY TOGETHER – In addition to offering daily devotions via email, our pastors are leading a daily time of prayer together for about 15 minutes via Zoom video-conferencing Monday through Friday at 9:15 a.m. (think of our Sunday morning first worship service time!). The link can be found in the Friday email blast or please email the church office at [email protected] for the updated link. See above “CONNECTING VIRTUALLY” for more information on connecting.

CHILDREN AT THE LORD’S TABLE: The meetings for First Communion students scheduled for April 19th, and April 28th are postponed for now. New classes and a new First Communion date will be set at a later date.

VIRTUAL BIBLE STUDIES: THURSDAY EVENING BIBLE STUDY: Join us on Zoom this Thursday, at 6:00 p.m., for a reprise of "What Happened When During Holy Week.” We will look back at the accounts of the gospels and consider all of the events of

the past week. Email the church office at [email protected] for the link and/or for more information. COFFEE BREAK BIBLE STUDY will resume on Thursday, April 16th, at 9:30 a.m. via Zoom. Contact the church office at [email protected] if you’d like to join in. They will be discussing lesson 18 of The Story, “Daniel in Exile”. First-time Zoomers - If this is your first time using Zoom, you will be asked to download the program and to allow the software to make changes to your computer; you will then be entered into the meeting. We suggest that you do the initial setup sometime before the meeting, you just won’t actually enter the meeting because it is not happening at that moment, but it will give you some practice! See the “CONNECTING VIRTUALLY” instructions above if you are having trouble with Zoom. If, after following those hints and suggestions, you are still having trouble, Contact Pastor Debi, [email protected].

CHURCH SCHOOL AT HOME LESSONS: This week’s church school lesson – Easter Sunday: The Resurrection of Jesus Christ – is on the website for you and your children to enjoy together. Thank you for recognizing the importance of your child(ren)’s Christian education during these times. You can find the lesson on our website—hover on the

“Ministries” tab, and then select “Christian Education” or click here.
