- An engineering assessment designed to give reliable

Cranes should travel or track along their runway rails with a

minimum of skew and without binding. Improper tracking leads to

premature wheel and rail wear, resulting in costly repairs and

down-time as well as inefficient and sub-optimal crane operation.

There are many reasons why a crane does not travel correctly on

the runway:

- Rail may be misaligned or worn

- Clips may be missing

- Pads may be worn

- Runway structure itself maybe uneven, bent, or twisted due to

column settlement, overloads or impacts during the service life

RAIL Q is an advance survey technique that typically utilizes a

proprietary remote controlled robot trolley. Roborail runs along the

rail collecting and feeding information to a state of the art total

station survey instrument.

- The Total Station is more accurate and measures up to 300

meters in one direction. (It could perform survey at 600meters)

- Measurements to date averages 75% less time on rails

providing customers with less down time to conduct survey.

- Reports are easy to read and customer receives 2D graphs, 3D

viewer and customized report with recommended adjustments.

What is Rope Q?

- Rope Q is a non-destructive testing procedure that could

assess both the inside and outside conditions of a wire rope.

- It is based on the properties of the steel used in the wire rope

and its magnetic behaviour.

- A magnetic flux is produced using permanent magnets and

measured with several sensors.

- Any discontinuity in the rope distorts the signal. - These fluctuations are then checked and interpreted by highly trained specialists.
