This report cannot comment on any foods sold at the canteen that are not listed on the Menu Assessment Questionnaire or the Menu Assessment Application form. Your menu assessment is based on the Fresh Tastes @ School Canteen Strategy. NSW Government schools are required to comply with the Fresh Tastes @ School NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy. Independent and Catholic schools are encouraged to follow the strategy. Attached to this report is a colour coded version of your canteen menu. Please refer to this as you read through this report. If you have any questions about this report or how menu items have been coded please contact Healthy Kids Association and we can explain this to you. Grey* Items that could not be colour coded due to insufficient information How many ‘Fill the Menu’ GREEN foods should my menu have? GREEN foods should dominant your menu. As a general rule GREEN foods should represent more than 50% of your menu. How many ‘Select Carefully’ AMBER foods should my menu have? There is not an exact number of AMBER foods that you should have on your menu. AMBER foods should be selected carefully and they should not dominate the menu, meaning AMBER foods should represent less than 50% of your menu items. How many ‘Occasional’ RED foods should my menu have? None. RED foods should not be present on the menu and should be limited, across the whole school, to two occasions per term. BANNED Drinks RED drinks are actually BANNED and can never be sold at school. They must be removed from the menu. 56% 38% 4% 2% Menu Assessment Results Green Amber Red Grey*
